Ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years Food & Beverage Experience in a high volume, upscale catering environment, and will have a bachelor’s degree in hospitality or business management, (or equivalent food and beverage management training). The Director of Catering (DC) is responsible for all aspects of a highly successful catering program including; management of all catered events, hiring, scheduling, and training of catering staff. The DC arranges and follows through on all catering details and to ensure execution of all events are delivered within the parameters of the event sold. Responsible for departmental budgeting, cost controls, overtime, inventory, equipment maintenance and other responsibilities deemed necessary within the organization.
Candidate must possess: a high level of computer experience to implement and maintain service training manuals and reports; have good organizational skills; a high energy level; proven leadership skills; an excellent track record; and experience in maintaining high standards. We are looking for an individual who wants to be a leader of a close knit team.
The candidate will be hands-on self starter, community involved, and will be able to work evenings and weekends during special events. Work week will be primarily Tuesday through Saturday.
